Last week my husband got the car fixed thanks to your suggestion of researching manufacturer's recalls and service memos. The problem was indeed with the ignition, and if it had not been for you we would probably have spent 1000 dollars on repairs without getting the problem solved. I just did some of the online search that you suggested, and if I am lucky I hit the jackpot on an ignition issue that had been recalls for on this model (1999 Odyssey). If this is it, it should be easy to repair, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
