David A I appreciate your confusion about the rules. What happened was I tried to make new rules and that just didn't work.

About 70% have added camera info to their posts and copyright info on articles which I think is important for their safety from copyright theft, BUT that's my opinion and not the rule.

All I ask for BEST ORIGINAL is that it be your original work. If you wish to add camera info and copyright info ( saying written by +++++++ February 29, 2008) that helps protect you from theft.

If you post to Texture Photographer you must have camera info in the caption.

I noticed other groups are now asking for camera info and I will join and support those groups too.

I'm tired of crappy internet photos on Gather, I'm tired of members pretending to be the photographer of the stolen photos they post and look forward to the day Gather demands members to follow the TOS and post original content.

David A asked how I know if a group has an active owner?

What I did while going through my groups was to click on the owner's name. Immediately you can see when the owner last posted anything, or commented on anything.

The next step was to click on their profile which tells me when they last were on Gather. If it was 2006, it's a pretty good bet that group doesn't have an active owner.

If the owner is commenting and not posting, I considered him/her still active.
